Is that correct according to the local security setting? Changed displaymanager to KDM4 ------------------------------- KDM4 user login to Gnome - Restart from there logout to KDM4 and asks for root password. The issue is that when entering password the input isn't received in the password field on the menu. The only way to reboot from Gnome using KDM4, looks to be to su to root in a terminal and from there enter the reboot command. KDM4 user login to KDE - Restart from there logout to KDM4 and asks for root password. Now the password can be entered and reboot does work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.as above 2. 3. Actual Results: as above Expected Results: Not sure if using GDM also should ask for root password after user Restart from Gnome?
