The suspend - resume behavior seems to be the same as kernels 2.6.32.2-0.0.14.bbf9278-pae and 2.6.31.8-0.1. I have suspended the system four times running 2.6.33-rc3. Two times it resumed correctly, two times it did not (left the screen black).
