http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=529514 Summary: xmodmap: custom defined keys are lost after a while Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- I define multimedia keys (volume up/down/mute) at start of KDE session using xmodmap. And it works -- the problem is, after a while those bindings are lost, i.e. pressing keys does not change anything. I have to launch mapping again, and it works and after a while... and so on. It happens every day, usually 3-4 times a day. So far I didn't notice that it happens after using this or that program. Content of my .Xmodmap: keycode 174 = XF86AudioLowerVolume keycode 176 = XF86AudioRaiseVolume keycode 160 = XF86AudioMute Desktop manager: KDE3.5.10 Applications: KDE3 based, KDE4 based, Qt based, Gtk based, wxGTK based -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
