[Bug 263260] New: Empty "warning dependencies conflict" window blocks online update
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=263260 Summary: Empty "warning dependencies conflict" window blocks online update Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: schubi@novell.com ReportedBy: mvancura@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com At the online update part of the installation, I've signed all installable patches to install and got the window "Warning" as for dependecies conflicts, but absolutely empty. What worse: the "OK, try again" button did nothing. After some time I've discovered there are some hidden conflicts and there are several solutions how to proceed. the following is one example which patches I needed to not install to pass this step: krb5 SU libzypp: wrong package arch change while installing a patch autofs: recognize filesystems with LABEL or UUID flash-player: update to 9 Kopete: adapt kopete to groupwise messenger SP2 servers yast2-printer: show remote printers I must say each patch affects different packags and can't see the reason for any conflict. And, as said above, there are more solutions available. y2logs attached -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

It was generated by Extras/Generate_Dependency_Resolver_Test_Case as you want. The only one strange fact I can see is that it is gzipped twice, so must be gunzipped twice too. I have not seen the testcase. You have installed libzypp 2.9.1-5 on your system. Version 2.12 should has fixed that problem. Version 2.14.2-1.1 should be available on the updated server. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 231461 *** -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
