The Thunderbird profile file contains; user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.ftp", "/usr/lib/firefox/firefox"); user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.http", "/usr/lib/firefox/firefox"); user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.https", "/usr/lib/firefox/firefox"); But the /usr/lib/firefox repertory does not contain the "firefox" file. There are "firefox.bin" and "firefox.sh" files, the last makes firefox to start. Thank you Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. But I'm pretty much confused as Thunderbird is not meant to recognize those prefs you mentioned since TB version 3. For Thunderbird to work correctly you need to make sure that firefox is listed in gconf as http handler correctly (which is made sure if you check within Firefox if it's set as default).
