[Bug 908476] New: /dev/net/tun went missing
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=908476 Bug ID: 908476 Summary: /dev/net/tun went missing Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 201412* Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: mt@suse.com Reporter: bwiedemann@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: thomas.blume@suse.com, tiwai@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- I upgraded my Factory to 20141201 (also removed all virtualbox-guest rpms) and found that after the reboot, openvpn would not start anymore because there was no /dev/net/tun device. Workaround: modprobe tun Since /dev is a tmpfs, there must be some process during boot that would create the tun device entry but there is no such entry in /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/ or is this normally done via udev? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
