When I had 10.3 I used to end with error 127 which I solved adding config in -------------------------------------------------------------------- /etc/pm/config.d/config SUSPEND_MODULES="button uhci_hcd" S2RAM_OPTS="-f -a 3" -------------------------------------------------------------------- s2disk work well on every version. On 11.0 s2ram didn't work. On 11.1 too. But on 11.2 I was thinking, It should finally work! I was wrong and I lost my patience with it. So I report my first Bug (sorry for my english) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Some information (other I should add upon request) :: openSUSE 11.2 64bit KDE 4.3.3 MSI EX600 Intel C2Duo T5250 Wireless Intel 3945ABG Nvidia 8400MG 256Mb with nvidia driver installe throught one-click http://en.opensuse.org/NVIDIA 2G Ram ..etc s2ram -i This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "Micro-Star International" sys_product = "MSI Notebook EX600" sys_version = "Ver 1.000" bios_version = "A1636IMS V1.2C" uname -r 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.try 2. 3. Actual Results: After trying s2ram -f my laptop successfully suspend to ram. But when I press power button, It start rotate fan, just like it should be almost done, and than it shut down. No screen, no blink, just black all the time and than shut down. After shut down. I press power button and system hangs. Manually power off. And than I again press power button and the system finally start. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also I read :: http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram#The_machine_immediately_shuts_down_after_resume... But I have no idea what I must do, because there is nothing to resolve my problem. Expected Results: Just suspend to ram and than, if I need, wake up and continue working. Also trying avery combination from page :: http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram#My_machine_is_not_in_the_whitelist.2C_what_can_... And in init=/bin/bash Without success. In openSUSE 10.3 it worked. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Reports against openSUSE 11.4 and prior will not get the attention needed to resolve them before openSUSE 12.2 is release and openSUSE 11.4 becomes unmaintained. Please re-test with openSUSE 12.1 or openSUSE RC2+ and re-open with an updated Product if you still encounter your issue. We apologize for this issue not getting the attention it deserves but we are focusing our resources in the area where they will have the most impact for our users. We're working hard to make openSUSE 12.2 the best openSUSE release yet! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
