https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=857542 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=857542#c0 Summary: [systemd] too many legacy init.d/ services Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nettezzaumanaa@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 hello suse, this is rather semi-bugreport: why do we use systemd when very most of services are still legacy init.d or at least systemd-init.d-wrapped ? (eg ntp, virtualbox, ..) One of supposed systemd feature should be, that writing new services is "piece of cake" .. Systemd in suse without services will remain bloated and over-featured troublesome crap .. sorry discussion is welcome! regards, daniel Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
