[Bug 568230] New: Task Scheduler applies a "DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE" message in description of a script
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=568230 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=568230#c0 Summary: Task Scheduler applies a "DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE" message in description of a script Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: frankebay99@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 SUSE/3.5.6-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.6 In PERSONAL SETTINGS, ADVANCED tab, TASK SCHEDULER tool, I have created 8 different schedules for different scripts. I have given them a personal description. After closing the application and re-entering it (after a reboot or not, not sure, but after many reboots the problem is still there), a job around the middle of the list had its description changed for the following: "DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - edit the master and reinstall. (/tmp/kde-frank/systemsettingsJE8172.tmp installed on Thu Dec 31 21:00:12 2009) (Cron version V5.0 -- $Id: crontab.c,v 1.12 2004/01/23 18:56:42 vixie Exp $) [here, inside these brackets was my personal description, intact] Now what's interesting are 2 things: First the job runs fine all the time. Second, if I delete that job another one will get that description edited. See PNG "Desc1.png" and "Desc2.png" of how it looks. It does not seem to affect anything other than visually. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create jobs in Task Scheduler and apply your own descriptions 2. Close the scheduler and re-open (maybe after a reboot) 3. Actual Results: One of the script will have its description edited by something that is not the user. Expected Results: The job's description should remain as what the user keyed in. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
