[Bug 815233] New: systemd prevents system from hibernation (ThinkPad T520)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=815233 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=815233#c0 Summary: systemd prevents system from hibernation (ThinkPad T520) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: axel.braun@gmx.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=535155) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=535155) extract for /var/log/messages, from start of hibernation to wake up User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 I have 12.3 installed on a ThinkPad T520. I use S2RAM quite heavily, and every now and then also S2disk (hibernate). Every now and then systemd refuses to hibernate with the message: systemd[1]: Job hibernate.target/start failed with result 'dependency'. This behaviour is only since 12.3, I never noticed it on 12.2! Without having found the reason finally, it seems to happen - when it is on battery, and - when battery is low Any idea how to get more information from this? Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have PC on battery 2. Have battery low (less than 15%) 3. It does mostly not happen when shore power is attached. Actual Results: System tries to hibernate, and wakes up immediately Expected Results: it stays hibernated -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

After the battery-low warning (at 20%) popped up, I tried the hibernation via the 'Akkuüberwachung' (Battery control'?). That did not work.
