[Bug 1131061] Japanese characters in the language setting of yast are garbled
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1131061 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1131061#c3 --- Comment #3 from Ancor Gonzalez Sosa <ancor@suse.com> --- (In reply to Martin Vidner from comment #2)
The Japanese entry is showing dotted Hangeul (Korean) script. Also the Simplified Chinese entry has some of these (its 1st character is correct though).
On the other hand, the Korean entry is correct.
The Indic scripts (Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, ...) use correct characters (AFAICT) but in a discomposed way.
I would bet on font files/packages missing from the Live image.
Indeed. During installation (which uses exactly the same YaST code), all the names look correct (I will upload screenshot now) because the installation system contains all the needed files. So the problem doesn't seem to be anything in the YaST code or Qt, but some missing fonts or something. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
