[Bug 1228601] New: AsmediaUSB4 1b21:2425 unreliable
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1228601 Bug ID: 1228601 Summary: AsmediaUSB4 1b21:2425 unreliable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.6 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel:Drivers Assignee: kernel-bugs@suse.de Reporter: aaron.w2@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Target Milestone: --- Found By: --- Blocker: --- I am experiencing many issues with the USB4/Thunderbolt ports on my motherboard, which uses the ASMedia 2425 USB4/Thunderbolt controller with USB3.x devices. After rebooting, the ports soon fail, and I am unable to see any devices connected to the USB-C ports. I am not using Thunderbolt devices. It doesn't seem to matter what device I connect to these ports. After a while, the ports stop working. I will attempt to capture the error message after my next reboot. I cannot find much regarding this chip with a Google search for this chip. It is included with my ASUS WRX90e Pro Sage motherboard. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
