Reproducible: Always As I couldn't find any announcement on openSUSE mailing lists I'd like to raise attention on this. If the removal of acroread is intentional, sorry, just close this report as invalid. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Bad idea. It has the behavior reported in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=725271. The fix there of removing two files did not work for me. Also, YaST cannot uninstall it. YaST hangs at 5%. Killing YaST leaves a gtk-update process running near 100%. One instance of gtk-update will quit, but another with a new PID immediately appears, still at high CPU %. I had to reboot to get rid of that. System is a fresh installation of 32-bit 13.1 RC2 KDE on a ThinkPad X41 (BIOS type). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Adobe does no longer provide (security) updates for Adobe Reader (acroread). Therefore it was dropped from openSUSE to protect our users.
