When I try, they return to their original position. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Right click on panel and select Panel Options > Panel Settings 2.Drag icon to a new location 3.Release mouse button Actual Results: After moving the icon, it returns to it's previous position. When you drag icon hovering over panel, did you saw the shadow area under your cursor(with your icon which you drag) when you want to release mouse button on the panel? if no that means the icon cannot put on there. IIRC I didn't faced got failed when I drag icon to the area where had shadow rectangle shows and release button on RC1.
