With 2 users logged on a Ctrl+Alt+F7 (or even a "end current session") to
other user (intention to switch user)causes console (display) blackout. Can
Ctrl+Alt+F1 and blindly log into root and enter

Talked and linked over internet to techy friend plus investigated more and see this bug is not strictly a "crash" although almost effectively so. Its very similar to Bug 154698 except complete black out and not just a blurred screen (found that from link on http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Problematic_Chipsets). I have chipset i845G. For you info I will try and attach xorg.conf and SaX.log. When adjusting monitor with Sax2 and testing ok, then hitting save causes the same "crash". var/log/Xorg.0.log and .1.log before and after "crash"
tar.gz contains 4 text files. 2 of Xorg.0.log and 2 of Xorg.1.log. named
no-crash means after normal bootup and machine not "crashed" for some time.
Then created "crash" (Ctrl-Alt-F1 from F7 console then pressing F7 caused the
bug so blind
