[Bug 847082] New: Firefox 24 hangs on pages with Flash plugin
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847082 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847082#c0 Summary: Firefox 24 hangs on pages with Flash plugin Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rlk@alum.mit.edu QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 If I visit a page with one or more Flash plugin objects (e. g. videos), the browser UI hangs. If I kill the plugin-container process manually, the browser comes back to life although of course I can no longer play the content. This doesn't happen if the entire object(s) is (are) on the screen -- in that case I can interact with the browser just fine. So visiting YouTube itself works, but a page with an embedded YouTube video locks up. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit a page with an embedded Flash object that doesn't fit on the screen 2. 3. Actual Results: Browser user interface hangs (although if a Flash object is visible on the screen, I can interact with it). If I kill the plugin-container object, the browser comes back to life Expected Results: Browser should continue to function MozillaFirefox 24.0-4.2 (from OpenSUSE mozilla repository) Radeon Mobility HD 5870 graphics on Dell Precision M6500 xorg-x11-server 7.6_1.14.3-256.1 (from openSUSE XOrg repo) xf86-video-ati 7.2.0-36.2 (from openSUSE XOrg repo) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
