[Bug 567332] New: memory leak in kio_audiocd
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567332 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567332#c0 Summary: memory leak in kio_audiocd Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: MasterUnderlineD@web.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; de) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.10 I'm using KDE 4.3.4 from the official KDE 4.3 repo. I have two DVD-ROM drives. If I insert an audio-cd into the first drive (LG DVD-ROM burner) and want to open the disk with dolphin nothing happens. Just kio_audiocd needs 100% of the cpu-power and eats more and more memory. If I want to open dolphin with the "pluged in" plasmoid this error will occur: "Die Datei oder der Ordner / existiert nicht." (The file or directory called / does not exist." And kio_audiocd doesn't eat my memory. Also amarok can't find any track on my audio-cds, but kaffeine and dragon-player plays well. If I insert the same disk to the other driver (LG DVD reader) everything works fine with dolphin but every other software can't find the disk. The burner is /dev/sg0 the reader is /dev/sg1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert audio-cd to the first dvd drive. 2. open dolphin 3. click on the disk button on the left. Actual Results: kio_audiocd need 100% of power and eats more and more memory. Expected Results: Show a virtual directory with all songs in wav, mp3, ogg, ... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But the bug wuth the "pluged-in" plasmoid still exist. Kaffeine also plays just the first song of every CD. I can't test amarok because of this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219241 I'm using KDE 4.4.3 at the moment. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The other issues should really be reported separately. Have a look at bugs.kde.org also, I think I have seen something similar to your other issues reported there.
