I loaded a Knoppix live CD to check DMraid and noticed its system status showed my CPU freq at over 2800mhz which for an Athelon 5000+ dual core AMD-64 seemed more reasonable than the the 1000mhz I was seeing on Sysinfo under Alpha 6. I have another machine running a AMD2800+ under 10.2 which shows over 2300mhz so I suspect the display is reflecting the cpu is running slow. HWINFO --CPU is attached and shows both cpu cores running at 1000mhz and I can see no reason for this or way to increase it.
