In journalctl I found for both locks a general protection fault in kernel First Nov 18 21:43:15 hpprol2 kernel: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xc17a6cdf29654b1: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP NOPTI Nov 18 21:43:15 hpprol2 kernel: CPU: 5 PID: 2154 Comm: Xorg.bin Not tainted 6.0.8-1-default #1 openSUSE Tumbleweed 9d20364b934f5aab0a9bdf84e8f45cfdfae39dab Nov 18 21:43:15 hpprol2 kernel: Hardware name: HP ProLiant ML350p Gen8, BIOS P72 11/14/2013 Nov 18 21:43:15 hpprol2 kernel: RIP: e030:kmem_cache_alloc_trace+0xe3/0x350 ... and much more (see attachment) Second Nov 19 07:56:58 hpprol2 kernel: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0x305b115c524982e: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP NOPTI Nov 19 07:56:58 hpprol2 kernel: CPU: 3 PID: 2169 Comm: Xorg.bin Not tainted 6.0.8-1-default #1 openSUSE Tumbleweed 9d20364b934f5aab0a9bdf84e8f45cfdfae39dab Nov 19 07:56:58 hpprol2 kernel: Hardware name: HP ProLiant ML350p Gen8, BIOS P72 11/14/2013 Nov 19 07:56:58 hpprol2 kernel: RIP: e030:kmem_cache_alloc_trace+0xe3/0x350 No more details for the second lock I use the xen kernel but no VM were running at lock time. Is it a regression from earlier kernels? If it's a regression and can be reproduced, could you identify which kernel started showing the problem? You can find some old 6.0.x kernel packages in OBS history repo, http://download.opensuse.org/history/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

So seems related to kernel 6.0.8. Regards Philippe -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

OTOH I found that the system freeze doesn't more occur with kernel 6.1.3 and last PysolFC. So this bug report can be closed.
