[Bug 441023] New: Disable anti-aliasing in applications
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=441023 Summary: Disable anti-aliasing in applications Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta4 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: noelamac@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=249361) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=249361) Firefox renders ok, thunderbird not Hello, First: I am not sure what beta release I am running. I installed beta3 iso CD and updated several packages two days ago. Second: I am running opensuse 11.1 as client using VirtualBox. :-) Well, the issue I am seeing is that the whole anti-aliasing settings are O.K. but some apps are not following this configuration (I have configured gnome to disable anti-aliasing at all). One is Gnome terminal (known bug): http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142640 But there is another app where I cannot deactivate anti-aliasing, it's Thunderbird. I am attaching a snapshot for you to see the difference. While Firefox renders O.K., Thunderbird text is blurry. I am using MS TrueType Fonts (Tahoma 8pt). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Not sure why this file was not present on my gnome based system :-? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
