Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add openSuse factory to the installation sources 2. Perform the updates advised by apper 3. Boot the system Actual Results: System can start, but does not reach runlevel 5 Expected Results: System starts to runlevel 5 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Starting the xserver manually (via startx script) shows that the factory update might have some inconsistencies. For instance, calling hostname -h describes options -l and -s, but calling hostname -s or hostname -l results in an error message. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But I don't think that is because of the Nvidia proprietary driver, as I had this driver de-installed and the system was OK prior to installing the factory system via apper. Meanwhile, I have installed openSuse 12.2 and that has fixed a number of problems I had with 12.1 (especially failing resume from s2disk). Only pulseaudio still seems a nuisance. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
