[Bug 530893] New: Suspend to ram / disk not working if screen is locked
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=530893 Summary: Suspend to ram / disk not working if screen is locked Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: gabor@sunseaker.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.0) Gecko/20090623 SUSE/3.5.0-7.1 Firefox/3.5 I'm not sure if this is a KDE thing or a core power management problem. I am using KDE 4.2.4 and kernel 2.6.27.21 on an IBM X60s Thinkpad. I have set the KDE power management to lock my screen after 5 mins of inactivity and to s2disk (if using battery) or s2ram (if on power) if I close the lid. I have noticed that if the screen is locked and I close the lid the laptop does not s2disk nor s2ram. S2disk and s2ram work properly if the screen is not locked. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Lock screen (ctrl Alt L) 2. Close laptop lid 3. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Laptop does not s2ram or s2disk Expected Results: Expected laptop to s2ram or s2disk -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
