[Bug 1110382] New: sddm can not start plasma with Xserver but only with Wayland
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1110382 Bug ID: 1110382 Summary: sddm can not start plasma with Xserver but only with Wayland Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: 64bit OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: alexpacini90@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I have a fully updated OpenSuSe Tumbleweed. When I get the login page, if i put the password and try to login the desktop is stuck with the field to input the password. I can still move the mouse cursor but I can't click anything. If I force a reboot and then select Plasma with Wayland I can login and get the Plasma desktop. I tried again to do a distro update with zypper dup, and the first reboot after the update was booting fine. But from the second update I got the same problem. As suggested in the forum (https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/533171-Plasma-not-starting-with-X...) I tried with LightDM and it is working fine. In the journalctl (I copied the log here: https://pastebin.com/NNdDqXSN) there are some crashes of sddm in the middle. I can not find ways to fix it, albeit it works fine with LightDM. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
