The problem is: this file is NOT processed if I have autologin enabled. Is it hidden feature? :) Please feel free to ask me any other additional information. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add some environment variable to /etc/environment 2.Enable autologin 3.Reboot 4.Check if the environment variable set. Actual Results: Environment variable is not set. Expected Results: Environment variable should be set even for autologin case. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I've found out that pam-service file xdm-np does not has/includes line: auth required pam_env.so I've tested it with this line and everything worked as expected. Environment variables were set. As I understood, this file (xdm-np) is created by: http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdebase/workspace/mkpamserv?view=markup (I may be completely wrong, though) So is it the bug of KDE or SUSE? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
