I didn't realize sdhci and mmc_core were actually loaded back then. So, to get the card reader working, mmc_block needs to be loaded. Wouldn't it make sense to add a dependency on either sdhci or mmc_core to mmc_block? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=204797 gregkh@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|ASSIGNED |RESOLVED Resolution| |WONTFIX ------- Comment #9 from gregkh@novell.com 2006-09-12 16:53 MST ------- Ok, as you did not write that those modules were originally loaded, you can understand our confusion. sdhci does not depend on mmc_block, that's not the way it works. The kernel has no such dependancy, so something else is going to have to know to load this module. Please contact the upstream developers about this issue, it is not a suse specific one. bugzilla.kernel.org or the mailing list specific for this driver subsystem is the proper place for it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
