During installation, YaST offers autologin by default, it is still not known which display manager will be used. 2. On installed system, the option is only available if supported (kdm/kdm4/gdm) display manager is set (not only installed). In you case, it may seem somehow confusing, but I hope this solution is correct. YaST does it, or at least it should. It is probably your system, that is somehow different. What did you select during installation?
