[Bug 1187171] New: Missing fix in mvpp2 NIC driver
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1187171 Bug ID: 1187171 Summary: Missing fix in mvpp2 NIC driver Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.3 Hardware: aarch64 OS: SLES 15 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: mw@semihalf.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hi, The latest SLES-15SP2 and OpenSUSE LEAP 15.3 use the v5.3.x Linux kernel, which has a known issue for the ACPI support in the mvpp2 NIC driver (relevant for Marvell Armada 7k8k and Octeon TX2 CN913x SoC families). The regression fix was already backported to v5.4 LTS Linux branch: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/drivers/net/ethernet/marvell/mvpp2/mvpp2_main.c?h=v5.4.124&id=76812738841c2daa89420a2f61ab100f0dea8eb9 I'd appreciate applying the patch in your next releases. It looks merely like a conversion of the container_of() cast with a helper function (plus a different way to retrieve dev pointer). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
