[Bug 204741] rug sa --type=YUM does not support authentication
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=204741 ------- Comment #4 from joe@virtualmin.com 2006-09-12 11:30 MST ------- Thanks Klaus. However, now that I've seen the bug, I'm not sure I believe you that this is at all a duplicate of #187353, or even related to it. I'm not worried about keys or trusting the repository yet, though our packages are signed, and I'm happy to see support for it in the new package manager. But I haven't even gotten that far...in this case, I have a repository that won't allow the user access without http authentication. We require some level of trust in both directions, and the client->server side is not being satisfied by the new package management tools (while it was with older versions). If it's possible for us to operate a "zypp" type repository with some form of authentication, I'm willing to convert to that for our SUSE 10.1 customers, but there's no documentation available for setting up a zypp repository. In short, we need the client to authenticate itself to the server, and bug #187353 appears to be about the package and/or repo authenticating itself to the user. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
