[Bug 1171164] AUDIT-0: permissions: %_libexecdir changes from /usr/lib to /usr/libexec, affects multiple entries
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1171164 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1171164#c16 Matthias Gerstner <matthias.gerstner@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |dimstar@opensuse.org Flags| |needinfo?(dimstar@opensuse. | |org) --- Comment #16 from Matthias Gerstner <matthias.gerstner@suse.com> --- I cleaned up the permissions profiles to remove the now unneeded /usr/lib entries. A number of entries still didn't move to libexec, however: - /usr/libexec/news/bin/rnews - /usr/libexec/news/bin/inews - /usr/libexec/news/bin/innbind - /usr/libexec/mgetty+sendfax/faxq-helper - /usr/libexec/polkit-1/polkit-agent-helper-1 - /usr/libexec/virtualbox/VirtualBoxVM - /usr/libexec/virtualbox/VBoxHeadless - /usr/libexec/virtualbox/VBoxSDL - /usr/libexec/virtualbox/VBoxNetAdpCtl - /usr/libexec/virtualbox/VBoxNetDHCP - /usr/libexec/virtualbox/VBoxNetNAT - /usr/libexec/usbauth-notifier - /usr/libexec/usbauth-notifier/usbauth-notifier - /usr/libexec/libsmc-preload.so - /usr/libexec/authbind/helper - /usr/libexec/libexec/ksysguard/ksgrd_network_helper - /usr/libexec/mysql/plugin/auth_pam_tool_dir/auth_pam_tool - /usr/libexec/sapwmp/sapwmp-capture - /usr/libexec/mktex/public The reason seem to be hardcoded /usr/lib path specifications in spec files. Can you tell us whether there is an ongoing effort to adjust these packages? BTW: we also missed to adjust /etc/permissions.d entries, e.g. sendmail now ships files with wrong paths. I submitted a bugfix for this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
