An example: access to dn.base="" by * read But if you consult man(5) slapd.access you find that the format for setting access control has changed: access to dn.subtree="dc=example,dc=com" attrs=cn by * =cs continue by users +r Access is set, added or removed using "=", "+" or "-" - and this is missing in slapd.conf.
