https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=441073 User bg@novell.com added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=441073#c1 Summary: page allocation failure with krunner_lock Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta4 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: bg@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Documentation after locking my session, the system did not react for some time. This could also be a kernel problem because after removing the session lock, I now got some minimal swap usage. In the system log, I found the following messages: krunner_lock: page allocation failure. order:0, mode:0x20, alloc_flags:0x7, pflags:0x402040 Pid: 18897, comm: krunner_lock Tainted: P 2.6.27.4-2-default #1 Call Trace: [<ffffffff8020e42e>] show_trace_log_lvl+0x41/0x58 [<ffffffff804a0689>] dump_stack+0x69/0x6f [<ffffffff8028dcc0>] __alloc_pages_internal+0x3eb/0x40b [<ffffffff802b2d2d>] kmem_getpages+0x6f/0x12a [<ffffffff802b369d>] fallback_alloc+0x15a/0x20a [<ffffffff802b2ec5>] kmem_cache_alloc_node+0xdd/0x113 [<ffffffff8042a113>] __alloc_skb+0x61/0x1be [<ffffffff8045b536>] sk_stream_alloc_skb+0x37/0xdd [<ffffffff8045b772>] tcp_sendmsg+0x196/0x9e1 [<ffffffff804234c0>] sock_sendmsg+0xe2/0xff [<ffffffff804237a0>] kernel_sendmsg+0x39/0x4f [<ffffffffa0d32f5f>] xs_send_kvec+0x78/0x7f [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d32fef>] xs_sendpages+0x89/0x1a1 [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d331ea>] xs_tcp_send_request+0x44/0x11d [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d321b0>] xprt_transmit+0x163/0x250 [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d2fc0b>] call_transmit+0xa7/0xe2 [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d36023>] __rpc_execute+0x71/0x22b [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d30499>] rpc_run_task+0x4f/0x57 [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d30588>] rpc_call_sync+0x3d/0x5a [sunrpc] [<ffffffffa0d9ad1e>] nfs3_rpc_wrapper+0x19/0x50 [nfs] [<ffffffffa0d9b285>] nfs3_proc_access+0x12b/0x18c [nfs] [<ffffffffa0d8c3fd>] nfs_do_access+0x59/0x89 [nfs] [<ffffffffa0d8c501>] nfs_permission+0xd4/0x13c [nfs] [<ffffffff802c1956>] __inode_permission+0x7c/0xca [<ffffffff802c19bc>] path_permission+0x18/0x31 [<ffffffff802c31d5>] __link_path_walk+0x12c/0xe0b [<ffffffff802c407f>] path_walk+0x5e/0xb9 [<ffffffff802c423c>] do_path_lookup+0x162/0x1b9 [<ffffffff802c42eb>] __path_lookup_intent_open+0x58/0x93 [<ffffffff802bf024>] open_exec+0x24/0xe2 [<ffffffff802bf5b2>] do_execve+0x5c/0x275 [<ffffffff8020a5fc>] sys_execve+0x35/0x4c [<ffffffff8020c8ba>] stub_execve+0x6a/0xc0 Mem-Info: Node 0 DMA per-cpu: CPU 0: hi: 0, btch: 1 usd: 0 CPU 1: hi: 0, btch: 1 usd: 0 Node 0 DMA32 per-cpu: CPU 0: hi: 186, btch: 31 usd: 170 CPU 1: hi: 186, btch: 31 usd: 100 Node 0 Normal per-cpu: CPU 0: hi: 186, btch: 31 usd: 30 CPU 1: hi: 186, btch: 31 usd: 42 Active:483634 inactive:454131 dirty:20815 writeback:0 unstable:0 free:3187 slab:54806 mapped:34246 pagetables:5116 bounce:0 Node 0 DMA free:7772kB min:8kB low:8kB high:12kB active:0kB inactive:0kB present:5768kB pages_scanned:0 all_unreclaimable? yes lowmem_reserve[]: 0 3502 4006 4006 Node 0 DMA32 free:4620kB min:7076kB low:8844kB high:10612kB active:1676488kB inactive:1638616kB present:3587008kB pages_scanned:231 all_unreclaimable? no lowmem_reserve[]: 0 0 504 504 Node 0 Normal free:356kB min:1016kB low:1268kB high:1524kB active:258048kB inactive:177908kB present:516096kB pages_scanned:0 all_unreclaimable? no lowmem_reserve[]: 0 0 0 0 Node 0 DMA: 5*4kB 5*8kB 6*16kB 6*32kB 4*64kB 4*128kB 4*256kB 3*512kB 0*1024kB 0*2048kB 1*4096kB = 7772kB Node 0 DMA32: 1*4kB 1*8kB 0*16kB 0*32kB 1*64kB 1*128kB 1*256kB 0*512kB 0*1024kB 0*2048kB 1*4096kB = 4556kB Node 0 Normal: 1*4kB 0*8kB 1*16kB 0*32kB 1*64kB 0*128kB 1*256kB 0*512kB 0*1024kB 0*2048kB 0*4096kB = 340kB 745606 total pagecache pages 0 pages in swap cache Swap cache stats: add 0, delete 0, find 0/0 Free swap = 144504kB Total swap = 144504kB 1048576 pages RAM 35332 pages reserved 435803 pages shared 690671 pages non-shared -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
