As our .spec file doesn't contain a declaration ala '%bcond_without python' that support has rotten away anyway.
Hmm, I just did a local build using: ... $ osc build --clean --without=python 2>&1 | tee LBL ... and that worked fine. F.i. the configure line contains --without-python. I'm not sure yet why the %bcond_without is not required.
Theoretically a project config could set the RPM macro _without_python, and for new-arch bringup reasons it probably makes sense to leave a little support in the spec file for building without python by just hardcoding a 1 for _without_python at the top.
I see, indeed it makes sense to leave the support for new-arch bringup.
So I guess you'd install a different file (the current one without FIXME) for _without_python, and the glob-searching python variant by default.
Right, that would work, although I do not understand why without the FIXME. The problem that /etc/gdbinit.d/* is not sourced is still there when using --without-python. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
