SCPM worked fine in openSUSE 12.2. After upgrading I stumbled across two
(possibly more) problems, which seem to be related to the new init system.
a) Choosing a profile via the bootloader doesn't work anymore
- AFAICT different from bug 773632
- See 1st attached patch
b) Handling services always failed
- See 2nd attached patch
Reproducible: Always
a) Choosing a profile via the bootloader doesn't work anymore
/etc/init.d/boot.scpm is responsible for switching profiles if the user chooses
so via the bootloader (grub in my case). boot.scpm has been "routed" to
systemd, but that doesn't work.
Additionally the variable PROFILE didn't seem to be set.
The attached patch should at least illustrate the problem. It's working in my
setup.
b) Handling services always failed
/usr/lib/scpm/resource_types/service/common fails to determine the directory
containing all the init scripts. Since many (or all?) scripts handling services
source .../service/common, they all fail.
The attached patch should at least illustrate the problem. It's working in my
setup.
