https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726153 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726153#c0 Summary: Caribou fails to start on tablet Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: peckaj@tut.ac.za QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 Gnome environment on an Acer Iconia W501P tablet. Caribou fails to start when one selects application from menu Application -> Universal Access -> Caribou First time of starting Caribou, it ask to activate and relogin Second and more times of starting Caribou, it returns with error message: Process /usr/lib/antler-keyboard exited with status 139 PS: Ethernet network not working yet as driver is only available when Linux kernel 3.1 is released and included in DVD iso. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert 12.1 RC1 x64 DVD, and do default install (due to another software selection bug) with addition of 'nomodeset' to all boot options (due to shipped ATI just results to system halt and graphic noise) 2. Gnome desktop appears with error message stating using fall back Gnome version (due to proper ATI driver has not been downloaded and installed) 3. select Caribou from menu to start it, and select Yes to activate Caribou 4. log out and login again as requested 5. select Caribou from menu to start it, and returns error message with status 139 Actual Results: Error message: Process /usr/lib/antler-keyboard exited with status 139 Expected Results: Virtual keyboard to appear For a tablet the virtual keyboard is essential. Without a virtual keyboard it is a show stopper to using openSuse instead of Windows 7. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
