Unfortunately, he has not found a solution yet. One really pity thing is that the KDE4 open/save dialog cannot be disabled from Tool/Options/OpenOffice.org/General. The check box to use the original dialogs has been removed from some reasons :-( I am afraid that we have to wait for Kendy. He will be back from vacation the following week. KDE4 is used by default on openSUSE-11.2 => I increase severity and priority. Just for record, here is the answer from Roman: --- cut --- I am indeed aware of this bug. It happens when using the oxygen style. With another style the text shows up file. I have tried figuring this out...I think it deals with some initialization (or lack therof) with kde/qt and how we interact with the event loop. I have tried various things to no avail. Something that is interesting to note is that an exec() call on a dialog does NOT block in the OO codebase when the docs say it should. This is what leads me to think it is initialization or threading or something very weird happening. ~Roman --- cut --- -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
