https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=244770 Summary: firefox unstable due to Xorg problem? Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: asklein@wpax13.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com CC: asvetter@cip.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de Firefox crashed rather often with the message below. If I try to start firefox again, it crashes immediately with the second message below. Starting firefox again is only possible after I restart the X-server. So I think it is more a X error than a firefox problem. The card is a 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M10 NT [FireGL Mobility T2] (rev 80) on IBM ThinkPad R50p with the radeon driver (not the ATI closed source). The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 1168184 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) tttestus@pluto:~> The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
