http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559501 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559501#c0 Summary: NVIDIA drivers fail Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: AutoYaST AssignedTo: ug@novell.com ReportedBy: drbillbledsoe@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.0 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/3.0.195.33 Safari/532.0 NVIDIA drivers fail on install on SUSE 11.0 and 11.2. The screen that the correct driver projects ends about 3 inches below what I can see on my monitor. My only solution is to avoid putting SUSE 10, SUSE 11 or SUSE 11.2 on any computers with the NVIDIA. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Always fails on any install. I've repeated this at least 6 times. 2. 3. Actual Results: The bottom 20 percent of all screens is hidden and can not be seen. Any user will have to choose another Operating System because it can not be adjusted or fixed under SUSE 11.2 or even 11. Expected Results: You should be able to see the entire screen and the control bar at the bottom of the screen. SUSE 10 does not recognize the NVIDIA at all on install. SUSE 11 failed and I did not report the bug because I could not get a full screen to see the control bar. SUSE 11.2 fails too and there is no way to correct it once Yast decides to use the NVIDIA drivers. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
