The problem that brought this to my attention is lspci indicating this is the same 'Subsystem: Dell Device 0189' as that cited for the sound system, and I don't have sound working. Not sure if one is related to the other, but given there is this error I thought to report it and see if it can be resolved, then see what effect that has on the sound system. Example, when I run: # rcalsasound stop /var/log/messages shows: Jul 17 08:48:16 localhost kernel: Intel ICH 0000:00:1e.2: PCI INT A disabled Jul 17 08:48:16 localhost kernel: Intel ICH Modem 0000:00:1e.3: PCI INT B disabled The running # rcalsasound reload /var/log/messages does not show anything related to 0000:00:1e.3: Jul 17 08:48:38 localhost kernel: Intel ICH 0000:00:1e.2: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 Jul 17 08:48:38 localhost kernel: Intel ICH 0000:00:1e.2: setting latency timer to 64 Jul 17 08:48:39 localhost kernel: intel8x0_measure_ac97_clock: measured 55339 usecs (2666 samples) Jul 17 08:48:39 localhost kernel: intel8x0: clocking to 48000 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
