Oh wait, maybe you have wrong dmi info in BIOS. Can you attach dmidecode output pls, if this is the case you should be able to boot with acpi=force apic=force?
I've tried the kernel parameters above, but the same has happened. The boot process stopped right after listing of the IO schedulers. Now I'm using the 2.6.20 rc5 kernel, downloaded from the opensuse ftp.
