https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=823802 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=823802#c0 Summary: password timeout for encrypted partition: deleted on each upgrade Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 I wrote on "each upgrade" meaning it happened when upgrading to OS 12.2 and now when upgrading to 12.3. I have infinitive wait set for password for encrypted partitions, so system actually waits for me (not the other way around). This is _MY_ configuration. Yet, on upgrade, installer happily deletes it, and when I boot upgraded system I end up with password prompt with timeout. AGAIN. So again, I have to customize it. User settings should not be deleted --> this is a bug. Besides, annoying one, how many times an admin/user has to reconfigure his/her system?
