On this machine /proc/cpuinfo does indeed show the pae flag. For comparison, another machine of mine, based on an AMD Athlon 1333 (ca. 1999) also shows the pae flag. (This machine, which requires the acpi=force parameter, initializes ACPI properly with the PAE kernel.) My older system, based on an Intel Pentium III 600 MHz (running Fedora Core 6/kernel 2.6.22) also shows the pae flag. Perhaps the algorithm that determines which machines support PAE needs to be revisited. Correct me if I am wrong, but in researching PAE I can find no indication that any 32-bit x86 compatible cpus from AMD or Intel support PAE. Yes, the latest BIOS (KAM 1.60 05/2005) is installed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
