https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=486890 Summary: acroread 64bit has dependencies to fontconfig-32bit Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rkrell@gmx.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.2; Linux) KHTML/4.2.1 (like Gecko) SUSE Installing with YaST2/RPM, the package acroread shows up a dependency to fontconfig-32bit, probably not directly to the package, but implicitely over a dependency to libfontconfig.so.1. libfontconfig.so.1 is provided only by fontconfig-32bit, while fontconfig (64bit) provides a virtual 'libfontconfig.so.1()(64bit)'. I assume acroread uses the 64bit package anyway, so that dependency seems to be bad. This has another side effect: If I install the newer package v4l2 (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/drivers:/webcam/openSUSE_11.1_Upda...) there is the library /usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so registered in /etc/ld.so.preload for preloading. Having the meaningless package fontconfig-32bit installed I get a ___ Creating 32bit cache files for fontconfig ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded: ignored. Maybe I'm in mistake but as far as I know acroread is already in 64bit, isn't it?
