https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780663 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780663#c0 Summary: storeBackup files are inconsistentely installed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wagner-thomas@gmx.at QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/21.0.1180.89 Safari/537.1 Some scripts provided by the package "storeBackup" are located /usr/bin/ (which is in $PATH by default) whereas some scripts are located in /usr/lib/storeBackup/bin (which is NOT in $PATH by default). This is a quite confusing behaviour, since some of the scripts can be executed directly by their filename, while for some others $PATH must be adjusted or the absolute path must be given. Scripts in /usr/bin are: storeBackup storeBackupConvertBackup.pl storeBackupls.pl storeBackup.pl storeBackupRecover.pl storeBackupVersions.pl whereas storeBackupCheckBackup.pl storeBackupConvertBackup.pl storeBackupDel.pl storeBackup_du.pl storeBackupls.pl storeBackupMount.pl storeBackup.pl storeBackupRecover.pl storeBackupSearch.pl storeBackupUpdateBackup.pl storeBackupVersions.pl are in /usr/lib/storeBackup/bin and, therefore, are not directly accessible. storeBackupUpdateBackup.pl I like to suggest that either all script of storeBackup are in /usr/bin or /usr/lib/storeBackup/bin is added to $PATH when the package storeBackup is installed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install package storeBackup 2. try to run, e.g., storeBackupUpdateBackup.pl from a shell Actual Results: One must adjust $PATH to include /usr/lib/storeBackup/bin to access some of the scripts provided by the package "storeBackup" Expected Results: All scripts should be accessible by default after installing the package "storeBackup" # zypper info storebackup Repository: openSUSE-12.2-1.6 Name: storeBackup Version: 3.2-13.1.1 Arch: noarch Vendor: openSUSE Installed: Yes Status: up-to-date Installed Size: 1.4 MiB Summary: storeBackup is a disk-to-disk backup tool for Linux Description: storeBackup is a disk-to-disk backup tool for Linux.
