https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=821878 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=821878#c0 Summary: LXDE File Manager PCMANFM Select Highlight matches text color obscuring file name. FM uses GTK3 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: LXDE AssignedTo: andrea@opensuse.org ReportedBy: frankk@oregoncoast.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=541404) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=541404) image of FM showing the black rectange highlight obscuring folder name User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 The lxde file manager (pcmanfm) highlights selected file or folder name text with an opaque, black color. The file or folder name is also black. The leaves a black rectangle obscuring the name of the selected item. A "tool tip" kind of filename display is also provided on mouse hover, but it extinguishes when the mouse is moved. I'm quite certain this problem started for me with openSuse 12.2-64. Both 12.3-32 and 12.3-64 have this behavior. 12.1-32 does not have this behavior. 12.3 does provide a widget Adwaita which does provide a white colored text visible in the black highlight. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install LXDE 2. Open PCMANFM 3. Select a file or folder Actual Results: Selected file or folder name becomes obscured in a black rectangle. I use PCMANFM preference of "Single Click", but this behavior also happens with the default preference of double click to open. Expected Results: Selected file or folder name is visible thru a translucent highlight, or text color is changed to make it visible inside the highlight. This behavior is independent of theme, but the Adwaita widget works properly in all the standard themes.
