https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=431467 Summary: yast2 vs. zypper packages Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: b.a.koenig@googlemail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I noticed that there can be quite a lot of packages that yast2 recognizes as installed which are not recognized as installed by zypper. Unfortunately, I don't see through this installation/yast2/zypper topic at all and I'm an absolute beginner in these things. But I clearly noticed that these cases almost always lead to dependency conflicts when running "opensuseupdater" or "sudo zypper dup". Isn't there a way improve this, e.g. by making sure that "yast2-packages" are synchronized with "zypper-packages"? Again, I'm an absolute non-expert but I think this is one of the big problems of yast2 at the moment. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
