https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=815659 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=815659#c10 --- Comment #10 from Johannes Meixner <jsmeix@suse.com> 2013-05-07 11:49:19 CEST --- But it only boots once (only the very first time). Details: After I "dd" the "USB stick / hard disk image" onto my USB stick, my HP ProBook4420s boots from that USB stick. After some minutes I shut down the system with "init 0" (which finally makes HP ProBook4420s switched off). When I switch on the HP ProBook4420s, it does lo longer boot form that still plugged in USB stick. Instead it boots the system on the harddisk - regardless that booting from USB has still topmost priority in the boot sequence of the HP ProBook4420s. On a first glance it seems during the very first boot, the system on the USB stick becomes somehow damaged so that it is no longer recognized as bootable by the HP ProBook4420s. When I again "dd" the "USB stick / hard disk image" onto the same USB stick, exactly the same happens again (i.e. boots only once on the HP ProBook4420s). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
