http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=573898 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=573898#c0 Summary: autoyast.xml not created in /root, no logs available Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: AutoYaST AssignedTo: ug@novell.com ReportedBy: grok@warwick.ac.uk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090714 SUSE/3.5.1-1.1 Firefox/3.5.1 After selecting "Clone this system for autoyast" and finishing setup it turns out the /root/autoyast.xml file has not been created. `find / -iname autoyast.xml` only found the basic copy in /usr/share/doc/packages/yast2-xml/ and not the one generated by the installation process. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. network installation from download.opensuse.org (pxe boot): KERNEL factory APPEND initrd=factory.rdz install=http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/ 2. automatic configuration disabled 3. Partitioning: primary / (ext4) + primary swap 4. KDE + autoyast2 (selected manually to enable the clone tickbox) Actual Results: 1. There is no /root/autoyast.xml 2. There are no logs in /var/adm/autoinstall (will report as separate bug). Expected Results: 1. /root/autoyast.xml should contain xml for cloning the system 2. /var/adm/autoinstall/logs/ should contain logs. Dell OptiPlex 780. Tempted to ask for severity bump.
