http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=568788 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=568788#c0 Summary: kio_man generates "# needsrootforbuild build" from build man page Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: davejplater@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- In the section :- spec FILE OPTIONS The build command interprets some special control comments in the specfile: # norootforbuild # needsrootforbuild build uses either user root or user abuild in the build system to do the build. For non-SUSE distros as well as since SUSE 10.2, the default build user is abuild. For 10.2 and before, the default build user is root. These two flags in the spec file allow to deviate from the defaults and force-set the build user to abuild and root (for # norootforbuild and # needsrootforbuild respectively. "# needsrootforbuild" displays in Konquerer as "# needsrootforbuild build" and the following line is missing build and displays as :- # needsrootforbuild build uses either user root or user abuild in the build system to Which causes confusion about what you actually put in the spec file. I was about to make this bug against the build man page until I actually executed "man build" and realized that it was kio_man's bug.
