https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=486432 Summary: please provide lsb-release -i value that doesn't match SLE* products Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bryan.gartner@hp.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009030810 Iceweasel/3.0.7 (Debian-3.0.7-1) I would like to use the output of lsb_release to expose distribution information in a 3rd party application. However, the output of this command overlaps with that of the SLE* products, making it difficult to distinguish, without parsing the entire "-a" or other options. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.lsb_release -i Distributor ID: SUSE LINUX 2. try same command on SLE* products Expected Results: Upon invocation on an openSUSE system, I'd expect a distinct namespace. As a precedence refer to Fedora not returning the same as RedHat distros. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
