https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=283861 Summary: NetworkManager does not send previous hostname to dhcp server Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 5 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ro@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Setup: you have a fritzbox at home running as dhcp-server. Running with ifup you can see the machines connected with their configured hostnames and current ip-addresses in the overview on the fritzbox web-frontend. Running with NetworkManager, all you see in the web-frontend is "-" for the hostname (or is this the wireless NICK entry, but I had never manually set that one in ifcfg-* either). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
